My Career as Educator

I have more than 18 yeas of experience and still counting. I have taught in multiple schools and tuition centres, including CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’ School, Stalford Learning Centre, and also a curriculum Director for Physics in My Masterclass. I am also teaching in Kent Ridge Tuition Centre now as a full time tutor.

How Are My Lessons Conducted

I usually will tell my students what to expect for the chapter. I break down the chapters (mostly) into little parts so they know how they are progressing over the chapter. During the lesson, students can ask questions on why certain observations are explained in certain way and why not their method. This is where the engagement starts and students can explore on different ways to get around tough questions.

I do progressive difficulty questions along with my students. This means that they know where they stand, and where they should start practicing questions. They will become clearer in their revision process and not fumble when tests/exams are approaching.

After every lesson, there will be a lesson update that will be shared with the student and parent, so that the student will keep track on their progress, and work on the areas that need their attention. This will facilitate their revision touch points and make quick revision notes for themselves along the way too.

My Teaching Philosophy

Dear Parents and Students, I am an NIE trained teacher and have worked with various tuition centres. I pay close attention to my students and make sure that my lessons are conducted in a adaptable pace for everyone to learn in. I strive to establish a connection with my students and make sure that I can understand their learning needs. I have the teaching philosophy of ‘leaving no questions unanswered’.
